C&S PLATTE CANON MEMORIES & Then Some

This is a hardback book containing 336 pages with more than 450 black and white photographs, the majority of which have not been previously published. Also included are reproductions of advertising brochures and maps.
 

Relive C&S narrow gauge railroading from 1899 to 1938 along the Platte Canon from Denver to Como and beyond (Alma & Boreas Pass to Breckenridge). Topics include floods, snow sheds, scrapping, train operations resort hotels, murder and romance all gleaned from newspapers, diaries, and photographs from the day. In addition, there is data from Engineer A. A. Anderson’s original time books which recorded daily operations.
